Wow it’s Saturday morn in December peeps and it’s suppose to be our first winter storm. How bout that? (don’t mind the pic) So I’m cleaning out the cob webs. Getting rid of everything in my life that I don’t need. Yes this includes people. Fortunately there’s not to many. I have people that have change their life around but yet we still don’t click. ( Dam it will never work ) You know who I mean. ‘B’ I’ve also met people who have surprised me in which I’ve thought were nothing and up to no good and have impressed me with the goodness in their hearts.

I set it off in my apartment though, what a great feeling I get from this. You know “efficiency in you house efficiency in you life”. I want to work towards improving my finances and overall money situation…want to be more professional with this you know. I want to work toward and improvement on my efficiency and focus handling bigger and better situations. This includes managing people and projects. I will get more than one picked up this year.

Congrats to my best friend Iris, she’s finally making her move. I’m proud and excited at the same time. She knows of what I mean.

I’m working with Shakti again, Yeaaaaaaa!!! She such good peeps, there’s a highlight along with starting work on the next Deuceoo7 album. Fay-O-la’s album is almost finished along with Eve Soto, Livia Six and S.O.A.Q. I just signed a new artist called Manolo and I’m developing his music right now.The first 2 tracks are awesome.(Indiggo Child) God brought some good people in my life such as DJ Quon, Sly Brother Greene, Livia Six, Antonia M.. When you have positive people around you, life is just so much fun.

This year I will be back on the market dating wise so with whom ever I meet , I know it’s gonna be fun and I can’t wait. Though it’s been a task up to this point, I know I’ll find that special one. So to all my friends who know me if you know someone, hiny hint hint. LOL! I want to meet more people, have more dates and experience more situations.

I do want to send out a pray for my friend Briian for what he’s going through. May God be merciful in your life and take you and your family in his arms and bless you and guide your way.

Also my good friend Lisa and her new bundle of Joy. I’m so excited for her.

While I’m praying please God be Merciful Bless me and everyone in my life including the persons with whom I’ve had to part with.

Me thinks it’s really important to have good true friends that will keep you in line and support you on your journey.

Love – I just want to be happy and comfortable no pressure on me and I won’t put any on my other half. Hopefully a soul-mate with chemistry and loyalty.

Intelligence – I do enjoy learning new things because it makes me feel on top of the world and gives me a great feeling of accomplishment.

Music – It’s my life, it’s a source of mystery and contentment. It’s a soother a comforter. It’s love and hate. It has colors and dynamics that take me to places farther then I could of ever believe. Farther then I can ever imagine in a robust and bold imagination. A never ending story where theres always something veraciously new to discover. A place to get lost, a place of no worries, a place of wonderous art and pleasureful taboos. A place to find ones true self, a place where it’s cool to be alone as well as with many at the same time. A place of inspiration and creativity. A place of understanding and non-understanding. I walk the life of a true musician and very proud of it. I will never make excuses as I’ve done in the past. I will do what pleases me and I will please myself in what I do.

Financial – I’m ready to accept what life has to present to me. Instead of running away from it as in the past.

Friendship – I love my friends a great deal and they love me.(Great feeling)

That’s just on personal level what about the fan level. When adoring fans and groupies start to throw stuff at you or pour it on thick. Both parties have to be strong because one has to refrain from temptation and the other has to be very trusting, with no jealously and very understanding. I’ve seen only a very few musicians relationship work because of this.

If you want success in life you can’t compare yourself to anyone but yourself. Meaning you know how hard you’ll have to work to get things accomplished and if your not working. There are many ways to be a success and not everyone takes the same route to get there. You only can forge your own destiny and not compare yourself to anyone including someone starting the same and more successful. It’s your journey in life not anyone else…

The process of stacking vocals is used in most of the music you hear on the radio today. It’s a good way of creating a natural stereo and depth in your mix. Here are a few things from my experience to look out for.

1. Make sure that each tracks starts and ends at the same time.

There’s nothing more frustrating than having everything in key but the artist holds the notes at different lengths.

2. Make sure that all the tracks have all the same exact feel unless you are doing something on purpose.

If one is was sung low and the hard, or soft and aggressive, or childlike and deep opera like it will be very difficult to mix in the end.

3. Make sure that all the tracks are in the right key and in key?

Keep in mind that when some notes are hit they are very close but still may be out. You might be able to let these go if you stack enough tracks but I suggest you rerecord them. Train your ears so you know if two different pitches are the same or out. You may want to watch a guitar player tune his guitar to get the concept.

When two keys are the same you won’t hear to many sound waves if any, you’ll just hear one long one. It sounds like a repeating sound wave when notes are out. You should apply this to each of the vocals and to the vocals placed in the music because they all go together.

Overall these steps would be a good place to start when recording your next hit record.

Fo Yo Mind

Has anyone every told you don’t eat before you sleep? It’s not good for you and you’ll gain weight. Well I’m here to say it’s a myth, it’s calories in calories out. So if your under you daily requirements of calories just eat because you will most likely starve and the hunger pains will more likely cause you to overeat the next morning. At most if you suffer from heartburn then this may not be a good idea but if you don’t there’s no problem. (background here)

I’d like to think the process of eating is like keeping a inefficient machine running. What you put in it and the balance of it’s care will determine how well it runs. I’ll used the metaphor of an old clunker that you need and drive to work everyday. If you keep up it’s maintenance than it starts up well and runs well and treats you well. But if give it the wrong gas and don’t give it’s yearly maintenance check, oil change and replace parts on time you stand a chance of being out in west bubblef**k and stranded.

What's Up With Internet Radio?

What’s the best way to get your music played on internet radio? There are so many stations out there it’s mind boggling and hard to choose the one that’s right for you. Of course you should do your marketing-thing before you approach anyone one of them. But still to find the one that’s gonna give you love and help you reach all the fans you need to reach is another thing. To find a legit station and one that’s not out of your brother’s back room starting up only reaching two or three people is a task. Yea they’re fans, and hopefully won’t do to much harm except wasting your precious time.

I’m talking about those stations that will pay you publishing for your plays, those stations that will help you reach the widest audience worldwide and give you a chance to properly market and sell your product.

How do you find them?
