I’m a Little Pissed Off

Working around in my neighborhood which is mostly Asian right now. They call Flushing the second Chinatown in NYC. It seems all the time when I walk down the street and there’s an Asian middle age woman who I’m about to pass, she gets frantic and paranoid like I’m gonna do something to her. Today especially I was walking behind a women and when she turn around and seen me she stop to wait for me to pass which I’m almost 10 feet away. Hmmmm wondering how I should take this? Most of the time I let this just blow over but today this situation got me pissed. Almost to the point of saying something to her. The only thing that saved her was some other ladies dog came up to me as if on cue and started licking my leg. Wow go figure…

Maybe next time I should fulfill this B.S. stereotype and just come all out of my face. Walking around being of color sometimes people don’t know what you have to put up with every day.

  1. IF THERE’S SOMETHING THAT IMPORTANT ON YOUR MIND, THEN DENYING THE COMMUNICATION HOWEVER RATIONAL OR DISGUSTING MINIMIZES A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY OF SPIRITUAL RESOLVE PLUS CULTURAL EXCHANGE BESIDES THE FACT THAT SHE MAY NOT EVEN COMPREHEND HER LEVEL OF DISRESPECT THAT SHE ALLUDES. LIFE IS SHORT AND EVERY MINUTE HAS 60 SECONDS OF PROMISE,PROMISE YOURSELF TO USE THEM WISELY.HOTEP.

  2. I get that too, but not on the streets, mostly in the train. Generally a young pretty white girl enters the train and is about to sit next to me, but then after looking at me she changes her mind and sits somewhere else. It has happened over a hundred times. Also a lot of women tend to cling to their bf/husband/children when they see me. I like it though. It makes me feel like I am a “bad boy” and I like that feeling.

  3. Hey SOAQ, great wisdom I will work on incorporating this knowledge into my everyday life. Because I see how you approach your life and it’s very encouraging to many and all.

    And JD,

I never knew that. You always seemed like a ladies man to me. I also get that same response on the train especially from Asian middle aged women. It could be a real crowded train with a wide open space next to me on both sides of me sitting, the ladies always go for that seat with just a little space across from me and squeeze in there not to sit next to me.

You know JD I’ve always been into my own world without really thinking about others who go through this. This has been an eye opener buddy.

  4. women do the same to me on the train and I’m always checking myself like do I smell bad or something?
